Episode 9 of the Attack Style Wrestling Podcast will focus on tips and tricks with Greco-Roman wrestling with guest Matt Lindland, the U.S. Greco-Roman National Team coach.

We'll find out how Lindland went from a high-level equestrian athlete to a wrestler and how he went over the hills and through the woods to find the coaching necessary to excel. A junior college champion at Clackamas Community College in Oregon, Lindland finished his college career at Nebraska. He tells the story of how he ended up choosing Greco-Roman over freestyle.

Coach Daryl Weber and Lindland also talk about tips, tricks and drills from Greco-Roman techniques that can be easily utilized in helping young wrestlers become better in the folkstyle world.

With the start of any wrestling season, whether it be high school, college or freestyle and Greco-Roman, getting your wrestlers to focus and frame their mind is crucial to development.

On Episode 7 of the Attack Style Wrestling Podcast, coach Daryl Weber identifies three main areas with your wrestlers to get their mental framework and mindset in gear.

Be Coachable
1. Don’t look for easier way than coach is telling you.
2. You will always find someone to tell you the easier road is acceptable.
3. Life will be much easier, if you are coachable. You improve quicker, have more confidence and aren’t always looking over your shoulder.

Be Positive
1. Anyone can be positive when all is good.
2. Mentally tough people find a positive spin when the chips are down.
3. Example: If you get taken down and start shaking your head.
4. Expect & Be Prepared to Deal with Adversity

Be Accountable
1. When coach corrects you, does it upset you or do you have a sense of urgency to correct things?
2. Most people are quick to throw pity parties. Separate yourself from the pack by holding yourself accountable regular.

Drills are an important part of any wrestler's growth. On Episode 5 of the Attack Style Wrestling Podcast, we'll talk with Christiansburg High School coach Daryl Weber and legendary former Iowa wrestling coach Dan Gable on the fundamentals of drilling for wrestlers and coaches.

There are hundreds of different drills wrestlers can use to perfect their technique, but finding the right techniques for the right wrestlers is also a key component of coaches teaching their wrestlers.

Coach Gable talks about the drills he picked up and used while coaching at Iowa and Coach Weber breaks down how he goes about teaching young wrestlers to know how to drill before they even get to learning how to perfect the technique.

On Episode 4 of the Attack Style Wrestling Podcast, coach Daryl Weber takes a break from the summer camp grind to talk about how the landscape of wrestling camps have changed and how he looks back at his time working camps from his days at Iowa.

The camp system has evolved. While the week-long, or even month-long, camps are still common place, the internet has allowed the wrestling camp and training systems to be brought into wrestling rooms, living rooms and basements around the world.

While Attack Style Wrestling has been offering different systems over the past few years, the latest launch is for the Gable Trained Academy.

Coach Weber talks about how the system works and why it's modeled for coaches and athletes of all levels.
